Going off on a tangent here...
...I want a modern TV that is a CRT, but with HD. It has a cathode ray tube, and glass in front but it`s also 1080p, so the new consoles benefit from the wondrous glowing glassy look. Don`t care for 4k and such, above specs are good enough for me for life.
Modern: say, 32", costs up to 500$, can be slightly chunkier than recent flat panels but can still be carried by one person not a crew with a crane. Displays 4:3 and everything from 240 up brilliantly (bars are okay) and has all the possible inputs AND NO LAG of course.
It`d blow my mind. Perhaps, in an alternative universe...

Those existed, briefly, before CRT production died out.
