This is probably the best example here. Get a PS2, Atari Anthology, and Activision Anthology. You now have access to most of the system's best and most defining games. For an Atari fanatic like me that won't be enough, but for the layperson it's plenty.

That and then there's the plethora of of clone systems out now that you can side-load what games they don't have if you really want to. I want to love atari but man those games didn't have much depth as far as I'm concerned.

I just think with the DC though it's interesting to buy games for it despite that fact. I want to give it and the rest of that generation more love next semester.

Kind of, but those also have a healthy selection of Nintendo published titles that won't be found outside of their systems at least.

'course, I don't really see ports as a problem. I'd rather good games be readily available on current/popular platforms.

That is sad! I figured you'd at least buy Exist Archive.

I've heard it's kind of soulless. It might have VP's combat, but not its heart.

I'm getting real tired of seeing Vita exclusives get ported to PC.

The Wii and Wii U have both gotten shafted with this. The Wii has had a lot of its great used-to-be exclusives ported to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and PC. The Wii U is getting most of its good exclusives ported to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The difference here is that Dreamcast 1st party games have mostly been ported elsewhere, whereas on Wii and Wii U there are numerous unported 1st party games to justify buying them.

The said, if the rumours are true it sounds like a significant number of Wii U games will be getting improved ports to Switch.

I'm gonna regret picking up that copy of Twilight Princess HD, aren't I?

(Oh well, at least I got a Wolf Link amiibo out of the deal.)

If my years of collecting have taught me anything, it's that there's no such thing as a Zelda release to regret buying.

You were born after the CD-i, weren't you?

Yeah, but those are rare, aren't they? They may be poop, but they're expensive poop.

Exactly. I'd kill for a copy of any one of those three.

And yes, actually, I was born exactly two days after the release of the CD-i....lol
