I bought mine some ~5 years ago, prices weren't quite as insane back then.

Now this feels like a hodge podge of titles with no rhyme or reason. Two versions of Rod Land? Kid Niki 3 but not the first two? The SNES titles R-Type 3 and Super R-Type but not any of the arcade ones? And the free NES homebrew Zooming Secretary?

I think I was more interested about it when it was a focused collection of arcade games. Sometimes less is more.

EDIT: Found the latest promo video at

Apparently many of the titles listed are in actuality the home ports. Bionic Commando, Image Fight, Mercs...footage of their home console versions are shown there, not of the arcade originals.
Yeah I think it started out as Arcade games mainly but moved onto just "retro games" in general. As for Kid Niki it's got 1 & 3, but 2 is excluded :P.

It also has AstroHawk, which is an interesting SNES homebrew developed in the 90s, but not released until 2014. It has an unusual soundtrack, which is how I know about it. I have never played it, but I think it is supposed to be like Asteroids.

Also, Bashi Bazook: Morphoid Masher, which is the (unreleased) English prototype of Bio Senshi Dan: Increaser to no Tatakai. I know this because I literally just bought the Famicom cart; it's a neat Metroidvania.

Also, Kung-Fu and Kung-Fu Master. Hmmmmm........

I feel a bit let down and deceived I think. This I was well into when it was solid arcade stuff from like capcom and irem in there...but now its old console ports and junk?? Ugh...need to read up and see now or wait for a fail and price drop clearing it out?

I think Knights of the Round is the killer app for this device. That game all by itself justifies the cost of the console. Everything else is just icing on top.

I just saw this and I'm VERY interested.

All three Rushing Beat games (Rival Turf/Brawl Brothers/Peace Keepers)
Knights of the Round & Captain Commando (arcade versions)
Expensive stuff like R-Type III
and of course..... ExedExes (the Famicom version from Micronics, unfortunately)

It appears to be arcade/GB/NES/SNES/Genesis/less filler than your average ATGames console, but a very solid lineup of stuff noneoftheless.

You might be hearing more from me about this!

Edit: VARTH: Operation Thunderstorm? Getting this close to a "shutupandtakemymoney" moment....

We'd already be there if this things wasn't so gosh darn ugly, you know?

NES classic looks like an adorable miniaturized Nintendo; Retro-bit generations looks like a rejected decepticon.

Yeeesh! Whoever designed this cringe-worthy case needs to reevaluate his career choices.

Aww come on, you know it's more than meets the eye.

I'll probably end up with this thing eventually if anything because it has a good solid title set to it from multiple companies and the price is no worse than the NES. It's just not a high point to run out for.
