It still uses Steam, though? Or does this come with a DRM-free copy and a Steam code?

In the past Indiebox gives you a steam code and a drm free physical copy. This is a one off so not sure for certain. But my guess is the same.

If that's the case, I might just put an order in on this one. Makes a lot of sense.

Waiting for Giant Bomb to put their Quick Look up. Visually looks incredible. I never knew about its existence though, but I guess it's been in development for like 10 years. lol, strangely enough before this indie boom and all that. Hopefully the timing was right.

i paid $30 for the digital version with the soundtrack. i don't have any regrets about it. i'm at a point when i need less stuff, and more experiences, so just playing the game and listening to the soundtrack will be more than enjoyable for me.

I played the early prototype/demo of the game ~5 years ago and it was great. I'm sure it has improved a lot since then, but even in its early form it looked great, played great, and had a lovely soundtrack.

I hope we also see an eventual release of The Iconoclasts, which is another game I played around the same time that had a similar retro aesthetic:

Yes! I've been looking forward to The Iconoclasts for a while now. Dude seriously knows his pixel art. Noitu Love 2 proves that much.

I just want you all to know that every time you say Owlboy, I read Oldboy first and have to reread to ensure we're not talking about awesome Korean incest action movies.
