Get a PS2 Fat and larger hard drive to install the games, even imports and NO MOD CHIP NEEDED. The internal drive runs faster then the slim with external hard drive.MrEco wrote:Yeah, that's why I'm gonna do for now. I'll hold onto it, look into the possibility of getting another backup.

You can buy a brand new laser assembly for that model here:MrEco wrote:SCPH-90001 cbExhuminator wrote:Tell me the exact model number of that Slim, and I might have a link for ya.

It costs $34.95, is legit new, and has the protective solder removed (a good thing).
I've bought many parts from Rich before. He's never done me wrong.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

That sounds great. Thanks for all the help Exhuminator, and everyone else.
For now I'm just gonna keep my eye out for a good deal on a used Slim that's not too dirty or anything. In the meanwhile my other PS2's still work, so no rush, but it's good to be prepared.
I don't look forward to the day when all my PS2's break and it's impossible to find a new one. I don't want to have to go emulation only.
