gaming room with a bar... damn you. maximus wins march, nice clean stylish room.. good idea to have an extra hookup away from tv.
Thanks guys. The extra hookup away from the Tv in th floor has: coax, composite video, component video, HDMI and ethernet.

No need for controller extensions ;-)

I always wanted a NeoGeo MVS cabinet set up. That would keep me busy.

yes, you totally do. i remember reading a few articles on the front page about game rooms and was very intrigued. this would be a good thing to do and gives a good outlet for people to show off their accomplishments. that being said, sweet game room! i'm astonished by your collection (that's a good thing).

Muchos props on the room, man. That is a fantastic place for gaming! Showed the pics to my wife and even she approved. :D

BTW I have to ask - looks like you've got a SNES hooked up to your flat-panel TV there. From the pic it looks like the picture is great. Is it stretched to fit the 16:9 size? How is the resolution of your old cartridge games on this TV? Is it LCD or plasma?

The dilemma of playing older games on new tv tech has been a topic here for a while, so I thought you might be able to give some impressions because it looks like you're playing all of your retro stuff on a new tv.

My TV is a 50" Panasonic Veira and I play all my video games from INtellivision to PS3 on it. The retro games show well on this TV and I can't complain. It is obviously not like using a small tube TV, but defintely usuable even to someone that has always played classics on a smaller tube tv.

Is there much of a difference between plasma and LCD when it comes to the picture quality of 8 or 16 bit games? Anyone have any idea?

well, I have both types of TV in the same room, but I do not think it would be an accurate comparison as the plasma is a 50" and the LCD is only a 37". I think it would be best if they were both the smae size.
