Why is there no proper way to emulate XBOX on PC?

One of the reasons a proper emulator hasn't been developed for OXbox is probably due to the community.

Yes, there is allot of undocumented hardware in the system.
Yes, developing an emulator isn't easy.
However, the above didn't stop the Saturn (check out recent mednafen builds), PS1, Wii, ect, ect.

If the talent and love for the system is there, the emulator will come. At the end of the day, I don't think the OXbox has allot of "this kind of fan" at its table.

Yeah, my take is that nobody really cares. The hand-full of xbox-only titles are supported in the newer iterations of the console that the shit-ton of opcode x86-modified-x86 translation is almost as much effort as hand-porting one of the game's entire executable to a new system without any source-code to work with. That's so many years of horrible debugging without ever seeing any light@the-end-of-the-tunnel progress, every attempt has been abandoned. No matter how far they got, there's too many years of complaints about every other game to ever release anything publicly.

Of course, the compatibility is pretty sketch. No question you could make a high-level emulator that would work for the most common stuff, but it does get back to the question of whether it's worth it to do so. I'd be interested to see the exclusive games on XBOX that don't run on the 360.

I know this is a late as hell reply, but from what I've read online modded 360 consoles supposedly can get updated XBox emulators that cover a wider range than the official one by expanding what is covered with the official. I may have misunderstood though, much past Wii modding I have trouble understanding.
