Alien Isolation was so good, I think it's probably my favorite thing in the Alien verse since the original movie.

I'm glad to see the games and upcoming movies finally separating Alien and Predator again. I love both, but together they've been lame as heck (some cool novels though). I think the Alien world is much more interesting as well. It just feels like fan fiction come to life and taken way too far with how much content there is with the two crossing over.

The directors cut of Alien 3 is pretty good I think, but it feels more like a Riddick movie.

Resurrection is easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen, ever ever ever.

Funny you posted this, noise. I was looking at the Alien series of games on GameFAQs just yesterday as I'd really like to play them all someday. Well, all the retro ones at least. The Atari 2600 installment is rather enjoyable, better than Atari Pac-Man.

Oh and I really like Alien: Resurrection. *hides*

Honestly, there are some I think you can avoid. The Super Nintendo AvP, for instance, is mediocre at best. But many of the FPS titles are marvelous.

Truly what a coincidence, I just reread the two Alien Vs Predator omnibus books that Dark Horse put out some years ago. It's been years since I read them and I just decided this past weekend was time and bam here this post is.

I love the first three Alien films as well as the first Predator film. I don't care much for the two AVP movies. You guys should definitely read the comics if you get the chance. The first AVP comic story is awesome.

I'd really like to read the comics. Can you point me to the books you're talking about? I also want to read that series um... something Fire? It has an Alien, Predator, AVP and Prometheus book in the series.

Also, did you see Predators strangenova? It's so awesome.

That's the first AVP omnibus, it's got the original comic series that started the crossovers as well as its sequel. There are a few other shorter comics in the book that have neat little tie ins with the original.

Dark Horse put out a second omnibus for AVP as well as six of them for just Aliens and four for Predators. I have the second AVP book and it's ok, it primarily one very lengthy story and it's not as good. I can't speak to the individual series books as I don't have them. Although I was on amazon looking to order the first Alien book before I logged into racketboy today

I do recommend the one I have in the link. As for Predators the movie, I enjoyed it for what it is, which is a lot more than Predator 2. It's been awhile since I've watched it though. Guess I'll do that this week along with the first Alien in honor of Alien day.

oh man, when I checked that Amazon link there's multiple omnibuses for Aliens and Predator stuff too...? Damn! Where to get started?! Haha.

EDIT: Holy crap I just looked it up. There are 6 volumes of Aliens Omnibus, 4 of Predator, 2 of AVP.

Semi-related - have any of you read that Archie Vs Predator graphic novel yet? I've had my eye on it since I first saw it while Christmas shopping and have been wondering if it's any good. (IE: is it actually funny? Is it mindful of the Predator source material?)

Honestly I hadn't even thought about the Predator/vs. Predator games. I was looking at this Alien list:

I am kinda intrigued by the Alien vs. Predator on Jag though...
