I actually plan to cover both the Saturn and SF Magic Knight Rayearth games.

Oddly enough, the Saturn one was released first. At least if you follow the Japanese release dates.

The SF game has a special place in my heart, as it's the first fan translated game I ever played. Yes, I went for that before Final Fantasy V. I was a weird kid.

Bahamut Lagoon is still big among JRPG fanatics. Another one I'd like to write about... eventually.

Actually the Super Famicom Magic Knights Rayearth was the first emulated JRPG I ever beat.

I followed it with the likes of Bahamut Lagoon, Front Mission, etc., but it was a rush to say I had beaten one that I knew none of my friends had ever even played. I look forward to your thoughts.

Oh, and you should totally expand on my thoughts on the similarities between Breath of Fire 2 and Secret of the Stars. ;)

These are an entertaining read. I really like that you're covering the obscure fan translated import stuff (Dragon Warrior and Hydlide reviews not withstanding). There are so many games out there to explore.
Check out my YouTube Channel DariaPlays for super nerdy video reviews on classic RPGs and Adventure titles. Bonus: I don't suck! Pinky-swear.

Here's some FDS stuff I'd like to see you review, even if some aren't purely RPGs:

Deep Dungeon: Madou Senki (JP, 12/19/86)

Image
Fire Bam (JP, 02/01/88)

Image
Seiken Psycho Caliber: Maju no Mori Densetsu (JP, 05/19/87)

Image
Marchen Veil (JP, 03/03/87)

Image
Armana no Kiseki (JP, 08/11/87)

Image
BodyConQuest I: Abakareshi Musume Tachi

Image
BodyConQuest II (JP, 1993)
(Not a FDS game, but I still want to see it reviewed!)

I also would like to see Lutter reviewed for FDS. I don't have box art for that one right off hand though.

Bro, did you see the upcoming games list? I'm gonna hit up Seiken Psycho Caliber: Maju no Mori Densetsu once I finish the "Heaven and Earth" games (so after Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma).

I do plan on covering most of the other FDS games you mentioned. Except for perhaps BodyConQuest, given it's painfully high price. Thanks for that cover art though, I had never seen it!

Is it possible to download a copy of the game and load it on a floppy and play on the FDS? I mean, it wasn't even an official FDS game, so it was kinda iffy legally to begin with.

I'm actually emulating a lot of the FDS stuff, but I only like to emulate if I also ... own a copy ...... of the legitimate game....

I never said I wan't weird.

Yes, it is possible to still make your own FDS disks, but it requires knowledge and tools I lack. I think it's actually a two disk game. Must be a lotta boobies.

The problem with making a FDS disk is A: you need a Nintendo disk as they are keyed, (ever wonder why the letters have different depth?) B: you need a Mitsumi disk writer. C: it has to be done in dos as the program to write the files is command line only. I do have a friend that fixed three of my disks that went bad or had wrong images written on them. I got a CIB Nazo cause it had volleyball written on the disk for 2 bucks. Fixed a Section Z disk too :D

I guess there's no such thing as like an Everdrive diskette for the FDS? Imagine a diskette with a micro USB connection on the back to load ROMs onto the disk with. Shit'd be rad.
