There were 54 levels in Yoshi's Island (60 in the GBA version). Yoshi's Story has 24. Yoshi's Island DS has 50. Yoshi's New Island has 54.

There are 55 in Yoshi's Woolly World.
Yeah, but Story had the multiple paths thing going. Pretty sure you normally would only run through ~6-7 or whatever to complete it. The game is just terrible anyways haha. I'm watching videos of Wooly World and it looks pretty cool. Music seems a bit too mellow for my tastes though, lol.

Woolly World has AWESOME music! Some of the levels have pretty mellow music, which is fitting. Other levels have something that'll make you wanna bob your head or tap your foot.

We started this tonight - got through 1-5 and made sure we unlocked each Yoshii so far. Ton of fun, such a better co-op experience than Kirby and the Rainbow curse.

Plus you can use the pro controller on its own, which rules.

We should probably make a list of full Pro controller utilized games.

In the second world right now. Already seeing the upped difficulty, that's really good. And the level design is really creative, and I never feel like I'm retreading familiar ground.

The various custom yoshis are really cool, but I only get 1 in 5 designs that I actually like so far :/

I started playing this a couple of days ago and have really enjoyed it so far too. The poor Wii-U isn't selling well but damn it has a lot of fun first party Nintendo games! Its amazing too because theres not even a proper new Zelda, Metroid, or Starfox on it (yet).

Yeah, I feel like the U has been the most exciting Nintendo console to me since the SNES. A shame it wasn't very successful. Even Nintendo seems kind of hush hush about it lately.

Yeah their 2016 lineup kinda says it all. They need to knock it out of the park with whatever console is next though so I understand them moving resources away from it.

Imagine if they had only named the console better, used the pro controller as the default controller, dropped the second screen/tablet idea, and maybe beefed up the console to use a standard 2.5" drive instead of flash storage. With the savings on the tablet controller they could have priced the system all at $249 at launch and by this holiday it would be only $199 with SSMB and Splatoon. I think we'd be singing a different story right now and so would Nintendo.

This is actually quite profound. I think you're right, some better branding, moving away from touch screen/second screen, and increased storage, you'd be in for a treat. Nintendo would be whistling a different tune. I still think it's my favorite console from this generation so far.

I'm on world 3 or 4 for yww, it's pretty amazing.

It's a bit embarrassing on their part because the name issue already happened with the 3DS. Two times a charm? I'm sure they really learned their lesson, average uninformed gamers aren't going to know the difference unless it's blatantly obvious.

My hope is that the NX or whatever comes next is backward compatible with a lot and maybe they can just stick with the Pro controller (seriously one of the best controllers period). I'm dreaming a console that can do GC, Wii, U, and NX, haha. I also really hope they don't redo the eShop a third time. I love a lot of what Nintendo has been doing thesedays, but they have dozens of issue and a huge mess of things on their plate as well.
