If you're using regular mame and playing on an LCD, turn the joystick saturation and deadzone to zero. It helped a little with the inherent lag.

Kidpanda - 173,076,246 - Johnny 5 Shooting Team - Stage 5 - Palm/Normal - 360 Arcade
Made some nasty mistakes, but it's the best score I have ever had on the game.

Did you no bomb / no miss the first 4 stages, Chris?

I have a score and pic to put up once home - will be good enough for a very distant 2nd place.

I made massive mistakes to the point it's laughable. I lost a man I stage 2, didn't kill the mid boss. I usually never bomb simply cause its too late before I hit the button. I'm posting a YouTube link as I streamed it when I was playing. Hopefully it can give some pointers and at least give a good laugh to some for the silly mistakes I made.

My first and only credit in ages. Made a lot of stupid mistakes, so there's a lot of room for improvement :)

Haha, I know exactly how you're feeling. I had the same thing today. When I finally had some time tonight I wanted to do a few runs but I spent almost a complete hour looking for my Futari disc. Found it between the DFK game disc and OST *facepalm*

Hopefully have more time tomorrow evening

To be sure I'm in the right mode, on 360 after you pick arcade there's a screen with "score attack" and "normal play." I pick "normal play" right?

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.
