No worries chief, it was more a joke on one of our members, a guy named REPO.vacantstance wrote:I wish I was sophisticated enough to be a "Repoman level complicated spammer", lol.fastbilly1 wrote:Guys he is some sort of Repoman level complicated spammer. The company in his sig sells pool tables and multicabs (that include Defender).
While I may have put a friend's website in my signature, he nor I have nothing for sale. The site is no company. He makes recommendations on how to outfit your game room in a cost effective way. I found this site through an email he received and he thought my story would be fun to share.
The signature's been taken down. I apologize if using it in this way is against the rules.

vacantstance, great story. I'm guessing from your location, that you're in Northern Virginia, or is that a mistake on my behalf? You grew up in Missouri though, I'm sure you could track down a Defender Cabinet! Or are you on a quest to get the exact one, serial and all?

It would be SO COOL to track down the original cabinet, but I'd settle for any restored model. If I decide to get one, it will be my Father's Day gift to myself. I can smell the precious time burning away, lol...Blu wrote:vacantstance, great story. I'm guessing from your location, that you're in Northern Virginia, or is that a mistake on my behalf? You're not a stupid little kid or college student anymore, I say go for it. It's not that hard to break the chain, and you did. I broke mine on buying old games because I cant stand where the market has gone on my two favorites. I channeled it into where you started that post -- pinball. Always loved it, never mastered it or even close, but because it never is the same thing twice it stays fun far longer than a game, and now I own a couple of them in my game room/work at home office. The rule I keep is to leave them off unless I'm willing to commit to at least dollars worth (4) games. At a secondary level they're decent time killers to also tinker with a clean too which isn't too bad.
Just set one up, across from the desk or at least out of direct eye sight, and just do it when you're legitimately free.
