All i want is they add more blueprints or stuff on those lines. I want more uses for the junk you find in the world. Stuff life super glue and mole meat to make a somewhat better meat is great.

It's also apparently in 4k.

I believe it's pronounced Bahstahn.
I read that as "Bat-stain" at first...

is it unreasonable that my response to this is "meh"?

I liked Fallout 3 well enough and played/enjoyed some of New Vegas. I guess this looks like more of the same and that's enough for folks?

You're just bitter and jaded because you've become an old man. You've lost your sense of wonder.

Yeah it's a pretty meh trailer compared to past entries, but even if it is just more of the same in a different environment I'm still interested.

I've seen some complaints about the models and such based on looking at the trailer, but overall I think they look pretty good. And the textures and color use are great now, I think it does the game much better, even Fallout 1 and 2 were really drab in most cases, it seems like it will give areas that are dark or supposed to be creepy shine more overall. I will say some of the animations in the trailer are still crap, like that running animation, but I pretty much expect that from Bethesda these days.

I'm interested to see where everything goes. I'm still not sure about the Boston setting, and the trailer seems to go with the lore established in Fallout 3, with the Institute being in Boston and a beacon of technology and hope, though shutoff from the outside world. I just hope they keep the balance from super fancy spic and span still running old world tech and the crashed ruins of what previously remained. Ideally, throwing in some good raider groups or tribal groups could help keep it feeling like your in a wasteland.

Personally I wasn't hyped about the Boston setting. I am, however, hyped about gameplay. I'm not going into this hoping for this generation's Skyrim, but after playing Skyrim and seeing how Bethesda handled that game, I think it's safe to say this is going to be an absolute massive game. The trailer, albeit underwhelming, was good, and I'm sure E3 will have some more information so I can't wait for that.

Until then, now I have to decide whether to get an xBox One or PS4...
