Exhuminator wrote:"This game's pretty cool, it's kinda fun, check it out." <---Every CGR "review" I've seen.
Don't forget the intros where he puts cartridges/discs into other consoles and every video must have some sort of audiovisual reference to beer somewhere.
I kinda miss the old days of CGR when the videos weren't as polished.

CGR has pretty much always been more about quantity over quality but Mark's vids have been very insipid of late. All the same, I never really used CGR for reviews but their vids are good for getting a condensed feel for a game.

Actually i enjoy CGR "reviews". I see fottage from game and i get the basic information about the game. And that is exactly what i want, i hate 15 minut reviews about games.
I want explore game systems and story myself not throught some reviewer

(That is why i love SNESdrunk reviews too)

I've enjoyed some of his videos, but I don't watch him that often. I'll watch a video or two of his when I have nothing else to watch though, and it usually isn't bad, at least not for me.

Mark seems like he'd be a cool dude to hang out with which is part of the appeal of CGR I guess. Sometimes it's just fun to watch other people having fun. He's very rarely negative and even when he is it's not "angry" negative.

Not that impressive given locality. Look at the environment in which he's recording those videos. Plus he drinks beer the whole time. How dead inside would you have to be to be angry in that situation?
I must give Mark props on being the OG internet gaming show originator.

CGR and CGR Undertow provide breezy coverage of plenty of games which would typically be unsung even by like-minded Youtubers. They barely ever scratch the surface of the games they review, but that's understandable at the rate at which they release content. Their insight is appreciated when looking for something new to play, some light-hearted entertainment, and a chuckle.
I like silly.
