Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yay, even new members got dumped since the last one is now back to Feb 20th. Some new member had joined and asked me about some purchases. Bleh.

Ok, so who would know? Again, I feel like there's little point in making substantive posts or trying to conduct BST stuff until we know what the problems are/have been and that, subsequently, they have been fixed.

This was the error I got -

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Table './racket_phpbb/phpbb_posts' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed [144]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

So it looks like we're working off a System Restore point. At least we have that.

Nick is probably the person who would have the best info, chief. The rest of us are just waiting to hear. From what I know, he'll make a post in a bit.

At least for now, the forums work, so again if you have ongoing BST deals, I would suggest reaching out to ensure stuff is still going on. Offering another point of contact, such as email, isn't a bad idea either.

I posted a Guide dated February 28th along with Edits made a few days later; all are still there. However, an update review to a controller dated March 1st was gone. I fixed it from a backup from my hard drive.

Cool, thanks. I really am not trying to be difficult...just want to know what's actually going on under the hood and whether or not we can feel confident that stability has been reached!

Was it just the PMs that were rolled back? That was all that was supposed to be.
That particular SQL table was corrupted, so it had to be restored from a backup...

I'm working with the hosting company to figure out more of what happened and prevent in the future....

Nope, literally everything seems to have been rolled back. Threads, members, PMs, the lot.

Some posts were lost such as the edit update to a Thread I mentioned above. Looks like anything before March 1st is okay. However, Hobie mentioned some new Members since Feb 20th might have been deleted.

I mentioned earlier about an OP I posted with subsequent updates. The date on the post is February 28th. Since there are no followup posts, I am guessing my Edits change the OP original date?

Fuck -- I'm gonna have to chew somebody out.
Sorry guys -- I wouldn't have a agreed to that. They were supposed to restore just the PM one as that was corrupted and the rest was fine.
