Anyone ready for this snowstorm?

So tempted to be That Guy and snootily mention that it's a calm 55 degrees here in Albuquerque, clear skies and bright sunshine, for about the 20th day in a row... but I'd never do that.

Right now it's 52°F here in south Georgia. That's about as cold as it ever gets during the day in the absolute coldest part of winter.

Contrast that with the destroy your will to live 98°F + 100% humidity average summer days here though. Also gnats, let's not leave out the gnats.

How far south? I imagine we live in similar destroy your will to live climates, but even Thomasville is slightly more tolerable than the panhandle. Pretty much anything over the Florida/Georgia line is instantly better. Florida is truly AhhMurica's taint! Snow doesn't come here because it hasn't given up on life yet. I'd be willing to bet we get more rain than Seattle too. Our rain doesn't have the decency to be overcast and cold, it is warm and immediately turns into humid stank.

I'll save Dave the trouble:

So, I am both prepared for and welcoming to the shitty weather.
But seriously, I'm moving....eventually.

EDIT: The Oatmeal was channeling Dave today.

I currently live about 12 miles north of Thomasville, but I lived a long time in Thomasville too. I would be okay with the summers down here if the humidity wasn't so insane. Nothing like going outside and your body instantly starts to sweat, but the humidity is so high the sweat won't evaporate so you're constantly dripping perspiration instead.

But I will never have to shovel my car out of a snow pile at 6:00AM, so there's that at least.

Wow, you live quite close to me. Boston or Cairo maybe? My wife is from Thomasville.
