The above mentioned problem was due to bad settings in the user "anti stutter" section. I had almost accepted a cheapy Samsung "led" as a replacement before figuring this out. The thing was 4" thick! Really is funny that this was a surprise, but it is led isnt part of the point making it thin?

Anyway, dodged that bullet. My Plasma looks better as the hours drag on. I hope that trend continues.

I think the point of LED is that its bright and cheap (to make) and requires very little maintenance.

Well, perhaps I should have said the supposed "benefit". I just don't see it, clouding, flashlighting, washed out blacks, and bland colors. I thought we were moving forward with technology. OLED should be the logical progression. I think they keep the market stale so they can keep using the same old factories and churning out subpar televisions that people will just replace when they finally do make something worth watching.

To be fair though, my TCL 55" Roku tv has a pretty good picture with minimal problems. It seems to be the exception as far as I've seen though. At $500, I'll bite my tongue on complaints for it.
