I totally suck at Axelay. I've never even beat the first stage. You want to see a guy suck at playing a game? Yeah come watch me play Axelay. Even my dog gets embarrassed and leaves the room.
I finally made it to the lava stage, but I didn't get to see the lava golem. I basically burned through all the continues I had saved up in the first few minutes of that one stage.
I have managed to get through it, but it was a struggle. I find is visually spectacular if a little disorienting at first. But I still prefer UN Squadron...

When I was a kid I used to go to this after school daycare sort of place since both my parents were working. They had a Super Nintendo there with UN Squadron. Me and the other kids would fight over it. I'm a happy owner of my own copy today.

But is it as fun to play without the blood of other children on your hands?

That's why I'm launching "fight to the death with other children for a turn on the SNES" simulator on kickstarter.
I got the SF import on day one. Never regretted it. Today it still is an impressive package indeed in both the audio and the video department. That said, I just don't like these type of weapon systems where you can switch at will. I just like simple power up systems.
