It's pretty fun, actually. I think it changes more system-wise than just the bullets though, maybe affects rank or something?

Just roll with the settings from shmups forum; I'm pretty positive that's what we're doing.

Sorry for not weighing in - as Exed said, if using MAME, please go into the JP region.

The SAT port and most PCB's will be JP by default.

If using SAT port, red-ball off is acceptable.

I thought red-ball had to be turned on and wasn't the default?

Whichever is NOT the default is easier, imo. Either are acceptable.

If you do not turn it off, due to the color palette and the porting process, the bullets are almost impossible to see. It's personal preference, but i'm saying either on or off, is up to you, either score will be accepted.
