Balotelli to Liverpool? The man's had a rough deal with racism, bouts on and off the field. He won't score as much as Suarez either. I'm not sure of Liverpool's thought processes.

I think it will be an interesting week. The Man U spiral might continue if one of the recently promoted teams gets even a slight sense of the upper hand. Let's cross our fingers.

I think the same can be said for us if we don't put Everton away tomorrow.

Looking ahead to the weekend, I have to say, Sunderland should be looking at tomorrow's game and thinking they can win it. United won't have Rojo yet and have alienated Welbeck as well.

Can't judge the Everton/Arsenal game. All I hope is that it's absorbing as their games were last year.

Personally I hate monday night kick offs and I'm slightly annoyed that we'll have a day less between our next match than Liverpool. On the game however, I think now Suarez is out of the picture we have less to fear from Liverpool on the break and should be able to turn the screw on them. I hope anyway.

And since there is now a guaranteed Champions League spot for the Europa League winners, will Spurs actually start giving a shit this year? I hope so, if only to shut up smug La Liga fans.

Going to be a bit smug and say that monday's game proved why we are champions and Liverpool are not. Clinical finishing. Still, lots of games to go though. And Shrewsbury beat Leicester in the league cup. Amazing, Jeff!

Elsewhere, certain commentators and pundits seem to have judged Arsenal's battling draw against Everton to be a sign of their lack of title credentials. The same Everton who in the same fixture brushed them aside 3-0 last season? I wish the media would make up their mind on Everton; are they genuine contenders or are they merely a tough away day? I think Arsenal did just fine to get a draw. I know which set of fans were happier walking out of Goodison.

Spurs also looking good with Dier looking like an early candidate for signing of the season. Dahnn by the river, Chelsea are also looking pretty formidable. Mourinho now seems to have the sort of players he likes i.e, tough, sharp passing and angry. And in Costa he has the confrontational (cheating) striker he so loves.

And United are just...wow. After a pretty pitiful draw at Sunderland on sunday, they lost 4-0 to League 1 MK Dons tonight. Unbelievable, Jeff!

Anyone else think Di Maria is a panic buy? Where does he fit into that team? Real must piss themselves laughing selling their squad players to Premier League outfits at such prices.

Away from the Premier League, I watched the Celtic game tonight. Fair play to those fans, they pack out Parkhead weekly but Scottish football has fallen so far by the wayside this last decade it's actually stopped being funny, even to an Englishman. It's just sad now, like a three-legged cat caught in the rain. Much like Alex Salmonds debating technique. Arf Arf.

I'll admit I picked up Aguero on my fantasy team. The guy could play proved he could play 23 seconds and score a goal coming off the bench. Guaranteed points as long as he's healthy.

Not at all surprised about the 4-0 shelling against MK Dons. Di Maria is a panic buy, and the formation will have to change somewhat. I don't know why they went after a midfielder when what they really need are some full and centerbacks. Their play breaks down at the back and Mata doesn't play defense, so the play is especially slow going and counterproductive from the possession-based game.

I think we'll be fine in the long run, but I am worried about Giroud's injury. He's our pivot person for the attack up top, and I think Sanchez won't be that person. Sanogo or Campbell would be good nods to give them some playing time and see if they can play well off our deeply talented midfield. We've already won a piece of silverware (not that the Community Shield is the finest of trophies) but I think we've got a lot of soccer to still play and as long as we stay fit and healthy, it'll work out. At least we're not Manchester United!

Eto'o was a great signing for Everton, especially for Europa League games.

I think it might have had more people taking part if it was a "Champion's League" thread....I mean, it's the only league that really matters. It's the NBA of football.

Nothing wrong with talking about the Champions League...when it actually starts.

Started and finished. The draw is being made today for the group stages.

I'm sure the Champions League will come up at least in part because Blu and I support teams that will be competing in it. If you want to speculate though, go for it.
