Could go either way. Are they just using the name to look good? Are any of the original staff even still around? etc.

Original staff are all doing their own thing. The Two Guys from Andromeda are making their own Space Quest-esque, game, SpaceVenture funded through kickstarter, as are Lori and Corey Cole for their game Hero-U, another project thanks to kickstarter.

You can get them digitally through GoG, but sadly, the last physical copy was the Quest for Glory Collection Series released in 1997.
You can play Quest for Glory 2's VGA remake by the Anonymous Game Developer's for free and it is phenomenal. Those guys seriously did an amazing job on it and even allows for the character import and export.
I may sign-up for GOG just based on that $9.99 bundle. Wish they had the old TSR AD&D games.

See, this just looks like evil Activision trying to take advantage of the name then. lol

Dude, GOG is a beast. If they had a USA office I would move to work for them. Every interaction I have ever had with them has been smooth. I had an issue with my library a couple months ago, they looked at it, realized the issue, fixed it, and offered me a free game for the inconvenience. Heck, just joining nets you seven or eight free games.

They're in the process of spinning up a US office in California.

Then Fast may move to California.
GOG is excellent all around, even if they have been transitioning to a greater focus on indie games in recent years.
And as for King's Quest and Quest for Glory, let's face it, those series are dead. This is the only way we will ever see them revived. But even if new Sierra and Activision botch the job, ateast their names will return briefly to the lexicon of the modern gamer instead of forever forgotten.

I'm just super excited for Geometry Wars 3. It's great that its coming out to last gen consoles.
I'm a huge fan of the first two and would play hours on end.
