x-arcade rocks
I've had my x-arcade tankstick for 3 weeks now and I can't complain. It's great with MAME and for area shooters (Echoes for one: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/shooters ... -wars.html )
I like the bulkiness. I velcroed it to a nice sturdy endtable and two players can comfortably wail on it without messing each other up.
All it lacks is a spinner, I'm going to get a turbotwist 2 from groovygamegear.com and attach it to the side.
X-Arcade tankstick is good deal for $200 if you don't want to spend the time and energy putting your own set up together.
CHEERS!

tis an old thread but i'll chime in.
the only way I could stand an x-arcade is if you swapped to convex buttons. HAPP makes convex buttons, so it could be done easily for a couple bucks each.
agetec all the way though, especially if you only plan on using it on the dreamcast.
I do love my MAS systems, but they don't make the button layout i have anymore. I don't like my buttons in straight lines, i need the left two moved down at the very least... so for me, unless they bring back the gamecube button layout, another MAS is out of the question. they will let you customize the colors of the buttons, which helps alot with appearance.

I'm also looking for a stick for my Dreamcast. Found this site along the way, it has a selection of MAS and Hori sticks: http://www.arcadeshock.com/items/pro-ar ... ~/list.htm
I've narrowed my choice to either the official Agetec stick or the Hori Real Arcade Pro. I've heard nothing but good about the Agetec one, but does anyone have any experience with the Hori stick? I'm mostly concerned about compatibility. Are there any adapters for PS3->DC that would make the HRAP3 work? I know a HRAP2 would work with a PS2 adapter but those sticks are hard to find, plus I like new and shiny things

Just bought the Agetec for 35 dollars on Craigslist. Love it. I have a Namco Arcade Stick for PS1 and it is a very solid stick for the 25 dollars I paid for. Before, I used it with a controller converter for the Dreamcast. I say the Agetec is a bit better as the joystick is a bit softer and more responsive. I don't have an X-Arcade so I can't really compared. I heard the HRAP is great but the price is way out of my league. BTW, I use my arcade stick mainly for shumps so I don't know how it does with fighting or other games.

I have both and the Agetec is just that little bit better feeling IMO, although the guy I got mine off said mine has SANWA buttons and stick, so im not sure if its EXACTLY the same as a 'vanilla' DC stickAnononymphenom wrote:I'm also looking for a stick for my Dreamcast.
