I've actually read all five of those DOOM books...
...and yes, the four are entertaining. The first two actually do a fair job of following the games, but stuff just flat out gets weird toward the end of them. Also, the IRS is a private military working for the demons in DOOM II. Seriously.

I loved the first two Diablo books, Legacy of Blood and The Black Road. Great supplementary reading for fans of the series.
This is a great comic too, released shortly before Lord of Destruction.

Just curious, I know you're a Halo Fan, did you read through the Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike? I like Nylund's style of writing and learning the backstory of the Spartans. Sorry if I spoiled your next reveal, but I'd love to know what you thought of those novels, even though it seems much of the story nowadays seems to be retconned.
