I'd suggest he reads some reviews before plunging into games day one. Or yeah, take up gardening or something.

Gardenerforlife has a nice ring to it.

Agreed. You just can't be a very good critic of anything when you approach everything with a "beyond jaded" view . You are, essentially, expecting and finding suckage where more reflexive and holistic critics are approaching each game in its own context and on its own terms…

I think my criticisms of the Wii U, its library, and its market position have been more than fair. If anything, I am one of the few in that thread regularly considering those things both relative to the Nintendo "ecosystem" and in the context of the larger gaming landscape.

You're probably right. I've just been super grumpy about games lately. I feel like nobody makes anything I like anymore. Maybe I need to stop playing anything for a few months

Or maybe just go full retro and start getting my old systems out of the closet since none of the new stuff seems to appeal to me anymore

Well if we're trying to be a little constructive here, your enthusiasm is too bi-extreme Gamerforlife.

This has been the consistent trend of your posts here for as long as I can remember, years even, etc. We can all easily flip flop sometimes, but you're like a nuclear light switch. Love/Hate at the push of a button.

Play what you want and stop caring about others and reviews.

And yes, maybe some gardening on the side.
