My guess is a western company is going to snatch it up.

I knew Capcom was falling apart but I didn't realize the sky was falling so soon.

According to the article I think we'd just need to buy a majority of stock. I'm pretty sure I could get a second mortgage and then dip into savings to come up with a good chunk of cash or collateral for a loan. We're not talking small potatoes, but I think we'd make our money back with something like Cannon Spike 2 alone.

MrPopo, you're a big spender. Interest in jumping in?

Mike, maybe talk to those guys on the Neo Geo forums as they like to invest a lot in games...

Maybe high 8 figures. I think if we could find 10-20 people to go 100-200K each we'd have enough to get a loan for the rest. Should make our money back in 3-5 years if we do it right.

Plus, we can pay Capcom in installments. We'll call it the "DLC Model of Financing". They'll eat it up.

The collective of board members willing to pool "10k" couldn't even come close to covering the inherited tax liabilities and transfer costs, let alone the controlling majority in stocks.

However, instead of wasting $10k on a fruitless endeavor, I have some wonderful real estate you guys can get in on if we act quick! Think reasonably now everyone.

I can't believe there is actually a serious discussion happening in here right now about trying to buy Capcom.
