metroid prime 1 + 2
great system.
Just got a Gamecube!!! What games shoud I buy?
as far as i am concerned the gamecube gets a lot of unjust smack talk from gamers as it boasts a library of excellent games. some have already been mentioned here, particulary "beyond good & evil" which is hands down one of my favorite adventure games ever. the graphics are beautiful and the music is simply some of the best i have ever heard in a video game. everything about the game is great some of my other favorites include:
-mario kart: double dash (so addictive and straight up fun. one of the best multiplayer party games.)
-metroid prime (smooth gameplay, wonderful graphics and sound. and the game is actually pretty damn challenging)
-zelda: twilight princess (zelda-nuff said!)
-paper mario: thousand year door ( a great turn based rpg that is lots of fun. if you like mario games and rpgs there is no reason you shouldn't own this game)
-soul calibur 2 (a great fighting game. plus link is playable!!)
-super mario strikers charged (if you are familar with the formula of mario kart take the whole beating the snot of your opponents with shells, bannana peels, etc, etc and mix up with soccer. it is a whole lot of fun even if you don't like sports games.

Adding to Soniklife's post... Other good multiplayer games are the mario party games. I spent more time playing mario party 6 and 7 than any other gamecube games.
Atari 2600 (AV mod), NES, SNES (region switch for PAL), Virtual Boy, Gamecube, Wii (D2CKey), PSX (Stealth V), PS2 (independence exploit w/ 160 GB HDD), Goldstar 3DO, Philips CD-i, Dreamcast, Saturn (racketboy's chip), Sega Genesis 2 + CD2 + 32X + Power Base Converter, Game Gear.

Good System
I would recommend the Star Wars:Rouge Squadron games for Gamecube also.
