Make sure you can test that sharp famicom tv. They are very old and generally have some issues like screen burn in. But if the price is great and no issues go for it! definitely a neat obscure gaming item for sure.

So I tried out a scaler I had lying around, but it didn't improve image quality much -- as expected.
I thought about getting an XRGB (because scanlines are cool) but I found out it has input lag. That's a killer for me. =( (fighting game player)
Guess I'll just deal with it for now.

That's what I've read online. I think on the XRGB wiki it says it has 20ms of lag.
