Is the Dreamcast game Seaman worth getting?

Just get a tamagachi for $3. It's almost the same thing.

But it doesn't talk to you, and doesn't have Leonard Nimoy.

Well, I have scored a complete copy of the game but haven't started raising a critter yet. According to the instructions, it is important to check in on your critter every day. Is this really necessary? I often go days or even a week without having time to turn on any games. I don't want to hatch a little critter only to kill him or cause him to grow up being anti-social or anything! ;)

Unfortunately, yes. In the later stages, if you don't play for even 2 or 3 days in a row, Seaman will starve to death and you will have to start over. Also, you can't just change the Dreamcast clock either, the gamesave makes sure of that (although, I guess you could change it with the hex editor in VMU tool). I would suggest saving the game for when you know you will be able to take care of Seaman at least every other day for a few weeks.
