I guess I assumed that, since you are always digging up these obscure JRPGs, that you had played the more standard ones.
I think you'll like Suikoden... but as you know, our tastes differ just a touch when it comes to this genre

I am gonna try to grab a copy of this and play it, but also stream it. They say it is roughly a 22 hour game, so why not give it a shot?
I gotta finish Chrono Trigger, but I should be able to get that finished by the end of next week.

He has, but most of it is in the 16-bit era!dunpeal2064 wrote:I guess I assumed that, since you are always digging up these obscure JRPGs, that you had played the more standard ones.
Anyway, I will likely be sitting this one out. I'm moving soon and am holding off on acquiring new games in the meantime.

It can easily be longer if you get more wrapped up in some side stuff.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I am gonna try to grab a copy of this and play it, but also stream it. They say it is roughly a 22 hour game, so why not give it a shot?

Wish I could play along with this but alas, I possess none monies. I love the music the Suikoden series has across the whole series. Always wanted to give this one a try.

Haha yeah, I guess I'm so focused on Falcom and Micro Cabin games (not to mention multiple playthroughs of The 7th Saga) that I missed out on a bunch of "mainstream" stuff.dunpeal2064 wrote:I guess I assumed that, since you are always digging up these obscure JRPGs, that you had played the more standard ones.
Also, here's order and years of which I acquired my consoles:
1990 - NES
1991 - Game Boy
1992 - SNES
2009 - Wii
2010-present - everything else
So yeah, missed out on the 5th gen and now playing catch-up.

I'm going to join, much more likely now that I can play it on the Vita. For some reason I couldn't be bothered to turn on my DSiXL to play Ogre Battle.

Great choice! I'll probably join in for this one. I usually play this game along with Suikoden II about once a year anyway (my 2 favourite games of all time), so I might as well break it out for this Together RPG. I just started playing Grandia, but will hopefully be finished in time to participate.
