Nice, going to add this to my wishlist.Xeogred wrote:You could maybe consider an HDMI upscaler as well, they're about ~$20 off amazon. I won't argue if they're better or worse, but I'm just lazy and liked having to only worry about one other HDMI cable haha.
This is the one I got awhile back
How are the generic Wii component cables?

Re: How are the generic Wii component cables?
I'm debating if I want to grab a pair of Monster Component cables for the Wii. My local target has one (in my hand) for $7.34. Is it worth it? It's normally $25 and they're clearing them out.

As stated Monster cables are quality cables and that is a good price. However, know that they do fit very tightly. I had a Monster S-Video cable for my Xbox and when I was taking it out of the TV so I could move the TV it literally ripped the input jack out. I have never been able to get it back in.Aar1012 wrote:I'm debating if I want to grab a pair of Monster Component cables for the Wii. My local target has one (in my hand) for $7.34. Is it worth it? Re: How are the generic Wii component cables?
I have the 3-in-1 component cable from GS.
It has a Wii, PS2, and 360 connector on it. I've used it between my Wii and PS2 with zero problems for almost a year now. It was $19.99 (I think?)

Re: How are the generic Wii component cables?
I have the monoprice and rocketfish component cables, and the rocketfish seem to give an ever so slightly more detailed picture, I feel. I would really like to test out some OEM cables, but unless someone wants to donate some for comparison, I'm in no rush to do so.
Either way, rocketfish or monoprice, I find that the wii looks relatively shitty whether piped through my XRGB mini, or directly into my TV. This is in comparison to the PS2 through component, anyway.

Re: How are the generic Wii component cables?
I did pick up the cables. In my tests, I haven't notice a big increase in Wii games. However, I did test a GameCube game (Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes) and it looks FANTASTIC.
