Moving this to tech help for now, if you decide to sell these, we can move it back to the bst.

Now, I thought you said they all work? Or are you just saying that's what you were told?

The CPS2 game needs an A board, yes. The A board has the JAMMA edge you'll need to connect to.

When you connect the A + B, if it comes with clips, use them, if not, ensure you have a really good connect by pressing with your palms, directly down on the 4 connect points.

Attach the harness to the A board JAMMA edge and turn it on.

One of 3 things will happen:
1. The game will start
The game is working and has a good 3.6v lithium battery installed, you'll want to change it and make a note on the outside of the case of the last battery change. It is a soldered in battery and you have about 45 minutes to change it (it only takes about 5). If for some reason you get called away and leave it mid-change, the board will die and need to phoenixed. A battery is reportedly good 3-5 years. I've changed working batteries that were 10 years old, but i'd stick to a 3 year mark to be safe.
- The game will start, but will say "Phoenix Edition"
This board previously died (battery dropped below 3.6v and the capcom coding told the board to suicide. The battery was removed and someone phoenixed (reburned the eproms w/o the suicide code) the board. It should in perfect conditions last forever.
- The game will give a solid screen (often blue or green, but not always)
You either have a bad connect, a bad A board, or the board is dead. It is best to have (2) A boards on hand, or at least one that you know 100% is in working condition. If you can rule out the A board, check your connect. You may want to remove the B board PCB from the shell to get the best connection possible. If still no signs of life, it is likely it is on battery and has died. You'll need to have it phoenixed. There are a few folks who do this, it requires an eprom eraser / burner. Some people pay a portion of their fee to Razoola, whom is the person responsible for decrypting the capcom suicide code.

Yes they work. I watched him play them on but didn't ask many questions because I was just going to resell them because they have more resale value than the cash offer. I'm just interested in maybe playing them now. At least the CPS2. I'll post when I'm ready to sell them. Thanks for the information.

Metal Slug 3 - $45-50

If you sell, be sure to take board pics, many of the slug games are booted and only worth about $20.

Well an english holo label with intact serials would probably be closer to $60, where a jpn label or no label would be closer to $45

They barely sold for anything. I'm very disappointed.

Alpha 2 $66
Hyperfighting $66
Metal Slug 3 $55
Puzzle de Pon $18.50
Super Sidekicks $13

I also didn't charge for shipping so take off $3-6 on each game. I still made more than the traded item though. I traded a miniature MAME cabinet that cost me $100 to make.

Close to what I thought:

SF Alpha 2 CPS2, B Board only - $75
Super Sidekicks JP, avg label - $10-12
Puzzle de Pon fake label - $20
If you have more arcade stuff in the future i'd suggest selling on here, or the neo forums. I know you would have easily gotten $70 for Alpha 2, plus shipping and no ebay fees. Also, not what you want to hear - but there's no way to ship those CPS1 and CPS2 boards for $3-6, they'll each run about $12-18 depending on zip.

Definitely with Mike on posting them through the boards. There is a small group of cab owners on this site, but over on the Neo boards it seems everybody is buying a cab over the last year :)

The buyer said he didn't want to pay for Street Fighter II so it's up for sale in my thread for $80 with free UPS ground shipping.
