Looking at the page and the description I would say you want input. I don't use a SCART switcher so I go straight from SCART into a female SCART to BNC cable.treepop wrote:Okay. So do I need output or input? I am sure I want a male, since it will plug into that switch I linked. I know this is a stupid question, but I don't want to be wrong and blow $50
Just got a PVM-14N4U. What cables?

I would think a switch would just pass through the signal. Thus an output like yours...strange...So confused.Duke.Togo wrote:Looking at the page and the description I would say you want input. *EDIT*
Thinking about it. Right now the cable leaves the Scart switch via a scart male to scart male cable into this:
So one would think I could just use the cable I already have and slap on the female to BNC correct?

Again, not sure with your switcher. My setup is Euro SCART out male -> female SCART to BNC.
The issue with the cables you are looking at is what SCART pins are wired up to the BNC. Basically, is the signal coming from the SCART end to the BNC, or is the signal coming from the BNC to the SCART. Obviously you want one that is wired to take signal from the SCART to BNC. The way they describe it on the site you point to is that input means input coming into the SCART side.
