Shouldn't have to worry about that, GOG personally updates every game they sell to work on modern Windows OS's.
There's a few that aren't yet working on Windows 8.1. I recently picked up Conquest: Frontier Wars because it was on sale and it doesn't work with Windows 8 yet.

Yet being the operative word.

That said, their website is being beaten to a pulp right now.

CFW did get its source code released within the last week, so I figure it's only a matter of time before a recompiled exe is produced. If I get bored I might try it myself.

Welp, it worked perfectly for a while there. Long enough for me to buy Aarklash Legacy. Then a minute later it crapped itself, automatically logged me out, and gives a 404 error when I try to log back in. Geez. :/

I have read up a bit on this. The rights to Fallout, 2, and Tactics belong to Interplay but revert to Bethesda on Jan 1st, 2014. GOG will have to remove the trilogy from their store, though they intend to keep it up for download by anyone who has purchased it, including us who got them for free.

Why don't they just give them out for free until they get pulled? I mean shit I just realized I didn't get copies because they made me sign up when I added them to my cart then some how they disappeared and slammed me out of the site and I couldn't get back in.

That actually makes me want to pirate the games now.

Also any chance that trying to contact gog support will get me the games free?

Wait, what about the original Fallout?

Also do you have a link to where you read that, if possible? Not that I don't believe you, I just want to see it with my own eyes, ya know?

if you want to be patient I could just send you the physical disks after the holiday dies down since I picked up the free ones thru GOG anyway.

Sorry, I am on my phone. But I believe some info was in their general forums about the free Fallout games.

Also, it should be noted that they received more traffic than ever before with this release. They quadrupled the number of servers they were using and still got slammed. You can read an apology on the forums.
