Thanks for the list @Ack

The only other one I know that wasn't on your list is Sim City 2000 which from my experience doesn't play nearly as smooth as Sim City did. Yes you could say it's graphically superior but the gameplay is terrible. I would much rather had the graphics stay the same and add the new features of 2000. The mouse and menu system was just so much more comfortable in Sim City... maybe because Nintendo was involved with that title.

Don't forget the Atari ST!

Yes. I see that all the time on GamingHistorySource's Let's Compare videos on YouTube. Funny how the ST and Amiga ports of a game usually look nearly the same. I know that one developer usually did both ports for each one.

Now that I think of it, there are a whole bunch of other SNES games that weren't originally "PC" games but were initially released for other computer systems...... Ys III (PC-88/PC-98), Popful Mail (PC-88), Lagoon (Sharp X68000), Brandish (PC-98, FM Towns), Xak (PC-88), and I'm sure there are many, many more.........

Oh yeah. Don't take my list as a master list. I skimmed a lot of the SNES collection. There's bound to be quite a few more.

The same is said for many NES games too. Watching all 40+ episodes of Chrontendo can get you pretty wise to that

I just recently picked up MechWarrior for the SNES on a whim because it's one of my favorite PC franchises. Man, what a weird conversion.

I wonder what the story behind it is, "I bet we can do this game in Mode 7?"

It's also interesting that all the mech designs have been radically changed because of the Harmony Gold lawsuits. The art design doesn't really resemble any other Battletech universe art.

There are some SNES games that were ported to the PC too. Lost Vikings comes to mind.

I liked the Battletech game on the Genesis. Reminded me somewhat of the Strike series.

Yeah, it's on the SNES as well (as MechWarrior 3050 for some reason). It's a lot of fun. They didn't have the same lawsuit concerns there as far as the artwork goes because it used Clan mechs mostly which were all original designs.

Also the Mega Man X games had PC ports. Actually I don't remember if 2 or 3 were but I know the first one was.
