Most memorable we're Pit Fighter, Time Traveler, and Time Killers. Holy ass those games sucked. Time Traveler cost a dollar to play, and that was a lot of money out of my arcade rations.
Don't hate on Time Killers. Decapitation wins were so much fun!

Didn't know so many people disliked Odin Sphere's gameplay. I rather enjoyed it, but then again I stopped playing after I completed the first character's arc, so take that for what you will.

I loved odin sphere and finish it in about a week, even with repetitive mechanics (the seeds and food grinding) i liked the characters and the combat in the game, and even when the scenarios are the same at least visiting them in diferent orders and with diferent characters keep things a bit more fresh (not by much though). But even i had to take a break from the game since it is repetitive but only because i was playin 4+ hours per sitting.

Now back on topic... i don know?

Never got a game thinking OMG SO GUD GRAFICS! But maybe the art style had tricked me before... but i can't think of anything right now so i'll come back if something pops up.

I still own that, case and all.

When I saw FFX for the PS2 I definitely purchased it for the graphics, but ended up loving it for the story. True story, I dropped a 9am physics course just so I could play more FFX. I would wake up at around 6am and play until noon for weeks on end.

I count art style as part of the graphics...

Another game is Okami . This game had such high reviews but when I played it , it wasn't exactly bad, but more on the 7/10 . It felt complex with a lot of talk and some repetition . Also Wii controls didn't help... I just stopped playing.

A game I used to love in the arcade's because of the graphics was Pit Fighter lol.

I think graphics were so overrated at one point they've become underrated though. I don't care what anyone says, great graphics will make a good game even better. They can't fix a bad game, but they can greatly enhance an enjoyable one.

Heavenly Sword. I bought it for the graphics and HATED it. I know that I'm kind of alone on this as it was a highly regarded game. But, I thought it was terrible.

RE Remake: Bought it because the graphics were gorgeous, loved it because it was an amazing game.

There have been many, many others. But, I have since learned my lesson.
