Yeah I have watched pretty much every video available over the past few weeks. It's not earth shattering or anything but looks like a decent open world experience.

All I am really expecting is an AC style game in a modern setting but that's what I have been wanting ever since I started play AC so I'm psyched about it. Story also looks pretty dark and interesting and has me intrigued.

Other then that I like screwing around with NPCs and it looks like they put at least some effort into giving each person on the street a small bio/back story. Find the crime prevention sequences pretty interesting as well. I'm hoping they are random but I have a feeling they will be pretty scripted and area specific :P.

Call me negative, but everything I've seen and read has pointed towards it being another average open world game / GTA clone. After all the hype and buzz over the last, what, 3 or 4 years(?) they've spent on the game, I was hoping for something earth shattering. It seems even the most impressive thing about the game initially, the graphics, have since been downgraded considerably.

I just hope the gameplay and hacking elements are interesting and it's not just 'GTA with some hacking gimmicks'.

Let's wait to criticize the game after we play it.

The graphics downgrade is pretty immense.

Can't wait for the next gen to truly start. Maybe another 2 years from now?

I think the graphics look nice, but I agree they aren't what I expect out of next gen. My opinion is that we won't see games that have the look we expect out of them until developers start making games exclusively for next gen and also have spent some time with the new engines they develop. I mean, look at games like Heavenly Sword vs The Last of Us. TLOU looks 95% as good as Killzone Shadowfall, but that is after 7 or so years of experience with the next gen hardware. Until developers can leave last gen behind (which they can't right now because they would be seriously limiting their markets), they will have to continue using a cross-gen game engine which is holding the PS4/XB1 back.

Lastly, I have decided to go with PC for Watch Dogs because A: I got a good deal on the code, and B: It's going to be the best looking version (marginally, but still).

The only thing I see this game doing better than GTA is police response. People actually have to call the cops ... and you can stop them from doing so. So that's neat.

My copy shipped, it should be showing up Tuesday. I look forward to playing it, but I'm bummed that I'm not going to get what was shown back in 2012.

Or maybe I am, it's on PC. I haven't seen a lot of "confirmed PC" footage yet. People are focusing on PS4, Xbox 1, and ... 360, for some reason ... currently.

Yeah as soon as it hits Tuesday I'm going to start downloading it. Haven't checked Uplay to see if their is a preload available but I highly doubt it. Hopefully their servers are stable that day and I can have it ready to play by that afternoon.

Might try a live stream once I get it setup will post a link here when I do.

That happened in GTA 5...

It was only apparent sometimes. A lot of the time when I played GTA5 the police notifications were instantaneous to the actions performed. There were only a few instances where I could actually see NPCs notifying police of anything.
