1. Mother 4. Keep it simple and funny and release it on the 3DS.
2. Lunar 3. Game Arts needs to rectify the mistake they made with Dragon Song. Fill it with lovely anime cut scenes and release it on the Vita.
3. Phantasy Star V. Enough of these endless Phantasy Star Online ports and sequels. We need a single player game. It would be sweet if they used the 3D dungeons again, like they intended to do with part IV.
4. Final Fantasy VI-2. Keep the graphical style and characters from the first game. The plot can involve the rebuilding of the World of Ruin and the secrets of the Esper World.
5. Skies of Arcadia II. Just an amazing game that deserves a sequel. We don't have enough steampunk JRPGs.
6. Dragon Slayer IX. As much as I love Ys and Legend of Heroes, it's time for Falcom to go back to their roots and resurrect this classic series.

New Legacy of Kain game made by the team that did the new Tomb Raider.

Re: What are some of your "Dream Games"?
So many of them are actually happening. We just got a new turnbased X-COM. Kickstarter has promised us new games from the creators of Quest for Glory, Space Quest, Grim Fandango, Wing Commander, Elite, Wasteland, Fallout & Ultima. The breakup of Atari has given the IP for Master of Orion and Star Control to eager and competent developers.
At this point, I don't know what's left to dream for. Maybe a reboot of the SSI Gold Box engine? Another X-Wing vs Tie Fighter? These would be nice, but if even half the above games deliver, I'll be elated.

IKR. Sonic Generations, Donkey Kong Country Returns (+the upcoming game), Rayman Origins, Shadowrun Returns, XCom, Planescape: Tides of Numenera, Deus Ex: Human Revolution (sort of) and all those other kickstarter campaigns. Not nearly all of my prayers have been answered, but so many games have been ressurected over the past few years its amazing. Though it's not always good, there are likes of Syndicate, Fallout 3, the new XCom shooter, Thief 4 (might be too early to say though) etc amongst that crowd.Hatta wrote:So many of them are actually happening. As good as Beyond Good and Evil is, there's much more 3D action adventure games being released than 2D platformers, hence it's less important. They should forget the Raving Rabbids trash and 3D Rayman games though. I'm not sure if Origins needs any more sequels at the moment, they managed to create one of the best 2D platformers of all time so as happy and as I am to see more 2D platformers, I don't want them to milk the franchise dry. So yes, do make another BGaE, but don't stop making Rayman games.

A good, console-specific Command and Conquer Red Alert game
A sequel (one that isn't a complete and utter joke) to Legend of Legaia
A new Lufia game on a console that isn't a handheld
Clock Tower 4
Tomba 3
MY FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE

A high definition sequel to Symphony of the Night complete with an orchestrated soundtrack composed by Michiru Yamane.
Breath of Fire 6, cell-shaded and open world like Dragon Quest VIII.
Crash Team Racing 2 (made by Naughty Dog, not Vivendi or whoever).
A real sequel to Brave Fencer Musashi that isn't a crappy reboot with a fruity main character.

I could definitely see square deciding to capitalize on the FF6 fandom by making a shitty iOS based sequel that recycles graphics from the original game (and slaps in sprites from other 16-bit square RPGs too for good measure, especially ones with clashing art styles).Menegrothx wrote:This will never happen in today's market4.
