I'm interested.

The world of The Elder Scrolls is enough to sell me even with a subscription.

If I don't like it I'll stop playing, no biggie. But I have to at least try it.

Elder Scrolls Online has one huge benefit just by existing though: It could maybe, possibly, if there's any justice in the world, stop people from incessantly screeching about multiplayer when the next main game in the series comes out. It sure would be nice if that particular group would shut the hell up.

Off topic aside: If I'm being really honest, as much as I want to play this game, what I really want right now is PSO2. I'm beginning to think its not going to come out here.

I'm sure you're probably right about that. I am interested in playing, just not enough to shell out the $15/month. I just wish I wouldn't have to wait a year before they come to the conclusion that free-to-play with a store is the way to go.

On the bright side most of these games launch with pretty severe issues so by the time F2P comes around many of them should be ironed out.

You make a great point. A lot of major bugs will be ironed out by the time they come out with a F2P model.

I'm with you, I want PSO2 right now so badly... I never thought I would say that since I hated the game initially, since it wasn't a, "Real Phantasy Star," game.

As far as being interested, it is cautious optimism. I love the Elder Scrolls world and the gameplay of the single player games does need some revamping. Will it be right in an MMO atmosphere? No. People tend to kill games for me. I don't want to explore in Stros M'kai just to hear a large vocal group of people, "LFM DM LV50 T/H PLZ"-ing.

I constantly feel like they are moving up and up and up, building on the same system and mechanics day in and day out with little change. I want to see the world being more broad, with it feeling more and more alive. It is slowly getting to the point of Ultima VII, but it still falls short. Like stated before, will it achieve it in an MMO? No.

I want it to be good, I really do, but I just don't see it.

So now that the game has dropped the sub fee is anyone going to give it a shot?

Don't you still have to buy the software, though? Or did they relent and make that free, now, too?

Pretty sure you have to buy the game. It isn't purely f2p; not yet anyway...

You do, yeah, it's the B2P model like the Secret World and Guild Wars games have. They do have a sub you can opt for to give you cash shop credit and access to optional content.
Haven't played it myself, so, I don't know how significant that is.

Unfortunately that's the only thing that is.
