I'm not advocating piracy,
but you could get an R4 and download the games to your DS.
Then you can tell if the game is worth it to own physically.
For the gameboy advance and older stuff you could emulate as well to see if the game is fun or old/boring.
There are a lot of gameboy and advance games that are interesting. but there's sometimes the whole language barrier.
As well as having the game you should see if theres not a whole lot of japanese text in it.
I'm about to start buyin import anime games,I have Questions

Gamecube games are troublesome. A few may only save progress or display correct text, if they detect Japanese language.SamuraiMegas wrote:Well, for 8-16 bit era, I'm buying a Retron5 most llikely, so I won't need anything for that. My Wii is soft modded already, so I can play import Gamecube and Wii games. PS2- I'll likely buy another slim model to mod, or see if Game Trade does mods and that would cover PS1 as well. Gameboy-DS: Region free. Dreamcast- Swap trick or boot disc, maybe a mod.Hobie-wan wrote:You should look at what's involved with whatever systems beforehand. Some are super easy, some are not.
Ps3: Region free already, I believe. If not, I won't bother. 360: Won't bother.
N64: Not much I want.
Saturn: Action replay cart. oXbox: Mod, I guess.
I think that covers everything well.
N64 you can merely set aside the blocker plate with a screwdriver. No need to mod.
Dreamcast is pretty easy. It has 4 wire chips out there.
PS3 games use optional region lock. Little except infamous Persona 4 Arena.
Saturn wait and mod once you want to play games like Dezaemon 2.
Obviously two carts inserted won't work.
Lum fan.

If you're into Gundam at all I recommend Gundam Extreme VS for PS3. All 3 of the Dynasty Warriors Gundams for PS3. Also if you're a Dragonball fan, I recommend Final Bout and Ultimate Battle 22 for PS1. All of these games by Gundam Extreme VS have U.S. versions as well. Sadly I have no advice on other anime games for you.

Yeah, sorry. Needed to read your OP better. ^_^ I do have some sites you could check.. one is www.playasia.com and the other is www.yesasia.com. Between the two I suggest www.playasia.com.SamuraiMegas wrote:Again, only looking for titles from the seriess in OP.
