5.25" floppy drive-to-USB?

I'll probably have to hit up ebay for a pc. I checked my local Goodwill (which is the only store around me that would carry anything vintage computer related) and they didn't have anything. They must ship all their stuff to other stores or to their online shop.

Keep in mind that newer old PCs may not have 360K floppy support in the BIOS. You want a PIII at the latest. Also, 1.2MB 5.25" drives can read, but not write 360K floppies. Or rather, they can write a 360K disk but the disk will be unreadable in a real 360K floppy drive.

You could also buy a KryoFlux.

"PIII" is "Pentium III", correct?

The KryoFlux looks interesting; although I don't need a preservation tool at this point. I might eventually look into getting one.

Just check craigslist. People are giving away old PCs pretty often here.
