Of course it doesnt. But it would stand to reason that one would first be homosexual to be attracted young boys. Not that all homosexuals are pedophiles just like all straight men arent attracted to young girls. Why even separate the scouts by gender. Why aren't there men counselors for girl scouts?

Likewise, dsh, we all get upset at seeing tax dollars going to things we find morally distasteful. Be it free cell phones or planned parenthood.
This is a false equivalency. Like it or not, Planned Parenthood isn't involved in doing anything that isn't protected by the Constitution and the Supreme Court. Roe v Wade means that PP has every right to collect tax dollars.

BSA openly flaunts their non-separation of church and state. Apples and oranges.

Also, on the cell phones: http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asp

Actually, most pedophiles aren't gay.

Because genders aren't defined by who they want to fuck.

Your overuse of false equivalency is a false equivalency. His point was made, you can always nitpick the differences in comparisons.

So if someone molests someone of the same sex that isn't homosexuality?

I am not saying a homosexual person is any more likely to be a pedophile than a straight person is.

It may be a homosexual act, but that doesn't make either of those involved homosexuals.

mjmjr25 wrote: @Luke - scouts is expensive? Hmmm, again, my scope is limited, but we have boys who pay zero dues or any other costs. Day camps and overnight camps that are more nationalized events have less wiggle room, but anything local your pack can take care of via donations and fundraisers. Outside of day camps, we've spend less than $100 in 3 years and most of that was uniforms, which could have been subsidized by the pack if we'd went that route.

In my parent's eyes Scouts was expensive, time-consuming, but worth-while. The uniforms, which aren't cheap, I grew out of quickly each year. Pops bought a few uni's for his pack and den leader duties.

Probably most of it was tax refundable, but my parents donated a lot of money to the organization. Food, snacks, special events, charity drives, fund raisers...they're philanthropists and they heavily backed the Scouts (at the time my Father was Director of MIS and IT at Adria Labs, so he had money to spend).

Better keep all the straight men as far away as possible from young girls. After all, it stands to reason that a man must first be heterosexual to be attracted to young girls.

The idea that homosexuals are somehow more likely to rape children is a ridiculously offensive notion.

I don't think you know what a false equivalency is

His response about my anger over tax dollars to BSA was basically "oh well, we all don't like some stuff our taxes go to." That unfairly minimizes the weight of my argument.

The difference between the two examples (PP and BSA) is that there is plenty of good legal justification for funding PP, and there is no good legal justification for funding BSA. They aren't equivalent instances in terms of how tax spending is justified or allocated, which was the contention.

Well of cou....whaaaa? You lost me Dishwasher. That read like "Just because someone never wears clothes that doesn't make them a nudist".

If you are a male, make out with another male, and diddle with his pooper...yup. You are a homosexual. That is an act of judgment and desire.

Eating only vegetables for one day doesn't make you a vegetarian, but a full day of guy on guy sex definitely says you are gay or bi-sexual.
