^ I hear ya. Around here, fireworks can get annoying. I haven't bothered to get my own in recent years, every one else gets more than enough for me to enjoy... and then way past that to the point of annoying. This year wasn't too bad, only a few cracks here and there in the past two weeks, and some one down the road setting off a few last night. Some years it's really annoying tho, where the entire week before and week after the 4th is like one long fireworks show. Some years the night of the 4th here is like a damn war zone. You have to shout to talk to the person next to you.

Luckily, I didn't have to work today. Odd, considering I figured my boss wouldn't even give me off so I didn't bother requesting off. I did however schedule off for the 5th through the 9th, and for whatever reason my boss was nice enough to give me off today. I'll take it! Kiss my ass, overtime! I haven't been off since last Monday.

The bugs are crazy right now, I'm trying not to stay outside the entire day. Hope everyone else enjoys their 4th!

That sucks, man. You might not be able to BBQ and set of fireworks inside, but at least you can still drink!

We can BBQ. I have a small grill for just the occasion - Weber Smokey Joe. It has a nice cover and can cook enough for my wife and I, since everyone else canceled. Fireworks can be done via the fireplace, but once youve shot a bottlerocket into a closed flue once, you never want to do it again.

We are doing ok, just cleaning the house, cooking/baking - I made more pickles and some infused oil, my wife is making cookies for vacation, and getting ready for vacation (which includes freezing packets of water so we can transport Cheerwine sherbet the 1000 miles in a cooler since every where is out of dry ice).

Well here it is, my neighborhood is blowing up right now with a nonstop barrage of fireworks. Whatever room my cat is in, that's the room where the danger is. I've always wondered what it must be like to fly over Long Island at night on the 4th of July. It must look like a war zone.

If you haven't seen Thunder Over Louisville circa late '90s, you haven't seen fireworks.

I hate fireworks. I dislike the government and am thinking about moving to another country when I'm older.

I'm a stick in the mud.

I will, in Sweden possibly. Still not entirely sure what country, tbh.

Yep good food, fireworks, and laughs. Too bad those small tanks you got were pathetic. The big missile tanks made up for them though.
