Thx for the input, guys. Looks like Nintendo want to bring new players into the game and the big names will come later (hopefully). Is ZombiU really that good? I've seen reviews with fairly bad ratings. I may keep the DC or SAT for shmupping beside Wii U and play the rest on it.
Btw is the Wii U technically more powerful than the PS3?
Are there/will be good games for Wii U?

For all practical purposes, it's about the same.dtrack wrote: Btw is the Wii U technically more powerful than the PS3?

ZombiU is generally love it or hate it. I liked it but not enough to finish it. Some people thought it was the beez-kneez and it was largely considered by those people to be what first person Resident Evil should be.dtrack wrote:Thx for the input, guys. As far as power. We don't know all that well. Almost all the E3 demos from Nintendo ran in 1080p with some at 720p and 60fps. Bayonetta 2 looked far better than anything similar on the PS3 but so far no title has officially been released that actually looks that much better than the PS3 and 360 so it's really tough to say. Being that the hardware is a bit strange compared to the other consoles, it may be a few years before we can safely say if it's a lot more powerful or still just as powerful.
Older. Not wiser.

I wouldn't say it's much like RE besides being a "survival" game with zombies. There's really no puzzle solving or an actual plot for example. I didn't finish it either but it was much better than I expected.
I did get a bit tired of playing whack-a-zombie with that bat though. Also, it's one of those first person games that makes me kinda motion sick after a while so that didn't help either.
Now, on to the OP...
The Wii U will have good games for sure. If the though of playing HD Nintendo games sounds good to you, then it's easily worth the investment.

Just realized that the new Smash Brothers won't have GC controller support.

For $20 you can get around the lack of ports:Violent By Design wrote:Just realized that the new Smash Brothers won't have GC controller support.

Has any one tried that ^ with say a Wavebird.

I can't see why it wouldn't work. Similar adapters for using GameCube controllers on PC support the wavebird just fine.bryan_65 wrote:Has any one tried that ^ with say a Wavebird.

Some say yes, some say no. Granted you would have a wireless controller thanks to the wiimote, but I am guessing you dont have any wired controllers anymore.CavZee wrote:I can't see why it wouldn't work. if your any sort of an old skool sega fan than "Sonic and all stars racing tranformed" is a must buy. The racing itself is pretty fun, although not nearly as polished as a mario kart game. Its the tracks that make the game worth playing. The fan service they did in that game was fantastic.
