Is the PS1 DualShock the same as the PS2 DualShock 2?

You guys are talking about the ps1 analog controller, right? Mine does not say Dual Shock.
DS1 > DS2 because of the non-pressure sensitive buttons.
Halas, it does not work for all ps2 games, but with most it does work.

There's the Dual Analog with cupped sticks and longer handles, model 1180. Then there's the Dual Shock with the usual domes sticks, model 1200 for the original Playstation in medium gray. Then there's the PSOne Dual Shock in light gray that's model 110. The Dual Shock 1 models do not say Dual Shock on them.

Some PS2 games won't accept PS1 controllers, but I think the list is pretty small.

One of the Mega Man Collections (can't remember which one it was, now) I know for a fact simply won't work with a PS1 controller. I tried to use one when my PS2 controller "mysteriously" disappeared, and was forced to go to GameStop to get a PS2 controller instead.
