Steam wont let you log from a different computer.
yes it will. I run Steam on 3 different computers, 2 at my house, and one in the office.

What-you talkin' 'bout, Menegrothx. One of the selling points of steam is you can access your content from any steam client.

I think he meant simultaneously logging in on multiple clients.

I'm pretty curious how this will work. I'm also a bit apprehensive because a lot of my friends know I have an absurdly huge backlog of games on Steam, and will likely pester me to borrow stuff constantly. XD

Maybe. That's kind of a weird complaint, though. That's like complaining that you can't put Super Mario 64 into two N64's at once.

Though I'd like to see people try ...

He wasn't complaining. Merely pointing out that a Steam Sharing solution would differ from sharing your Steam login with someone, in that if you share your account info, only one of you can play a game at a time. With Steam Sharing one of you could be playing Borderlands while the other plays TF2.

I thought the same thing. I'm afraid I'll get lots of random friend requests too. :/

But TF2 is free...

Good points made by all. I cannot wait for more info, I need to hit JT up for games...I mean other friends.

I'd guess it will be like Kindle lending. When you lend it, you can't play it. When the loan period is up, you get the rights back. It will likely be game by game lending, not account lending.

I have to say, I'm really excited for this when/if it is announced. I have always known Valve to be a very responsible company that respects its customers, and this feature really shows it. :D
