Good to know, thanks for the tip

Avrame, do you have any other troubles with your EverDrive?

FFV is my favorite one, it's a bit of an oddball choice. Should get the GBA port or find an English translated rom since it is Japanese only.

Wait, are you shooting for NTSC-U, PAL, or NTSC-J RPGs?
NTSC-U is what I will be going for. Should of noted that before, sorry.
Nah, it is cool. That will knock games like Terranigma, Final Fantasy V, and Seiken Densetsu 3 off your list, since they are from other regions. If you are only interested in JRPGs, there are quite a few we mentioned in that list, though WRPGs are something a few of us have been thinking about lately, specifically Eye of the Beholder.

Secret of Evermore would be a wrench in there, since it was developed in the US... what does that make it?

All I know is I wish Jeremy Soule did more on the SNES.

It's a Western "JRPG" like Septerra Core. 8)

Why would you limit yourself to a region with a flash cart?

I was under the impression that the flash cart wouldn't be region free. Don't know why I thought that though.... I would generally know better

A very nice site for reading up on SNES JRPGs:

http://fantasyanime.com/games

Lots of info and screenshots there.

My own personal favorite JRPG for the NES would be Front Mission: Gun Hazard. Granted it's an action-RPG (but you do get experience points and level up). Yet there's enough customization to yourself and your sidekicks, as well as an intricate plot, to warrant the RPG aspect IMO. Either way it's an amazing experience not to be missed. I would also personally consider Demon's Crest to be an action-RPG, and I love it too.

As far as traditional turn based SNES JRPGs go, it's hard to beat Final Fantasy VI.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
