Wow... I don't mind changing games, so even a 1 slot board is fine with me.
Where do I find a guide to know specifically what parts I need?

Thanks again guys!

Click on Neo Geo to the left.
Then MVS.

It will have mostly what you need, some of the info is incomplete though.

Another user saved from unreliable hardware and five-minute loading times. A job well done.

Hark! Somebody's considering buying an AES! MVS Squad, away!

Yea, you can't get Stikers 1945 on CD or AES any way, everyone needs that, including me. :D

That's awesome stuff guys, but I think it might be a bit beyond my soldering and electronic skills. Huge respect for you guys that have done this though!

I can tell you that the price on 2 slots has gone through the roof. Since the Neo X came out a bunch of newbs went over to neo-geo.com, found out about cmvs, and have been building them.

I've stopped building mine because I can't find a 2 slot for less than $180. Cheapest encoder is $30, so there's no room to make money there.

Yeah, the 2 slot price has jumped quite a bit it seems, when I needed to get a new board to replace the 2 slot in my cab I quickly decided on sticking with the much cheaper 1 slot.

Get me a two slot board and this encoder and I'll make it for you;

http://www.sintron-hk.com/Wei-ya-CV-04- ... 99937.aspx

I have ordered from there. They are the cheapest around and ship very fast.

You'll also need a psu 5v at least 2.5A and about $20 worth of radio shack hardware. If you're serious and want to get the two basic parts, then I'll throw it together. I have an extra power cord and you can pay me back for the hardware. Throw in a tip if you want, + shipping both ways.

Of course, by the time we're done with all that the ebay ones might be cheaper :)

I've got a 2 slot board and XRGB mini. Just no skill, and haven't reached an agreement with anyone well-versed in case design to make it look decent.

Besides that'd cut much needed funds from my gaming PC.
