I'm bothered by the idea that people can see my personal pictures without my permission / giving the pictures to them. It is not a concern about the stuff being used "against me". I do appear in some of those pictures in shorts, but that isn't even the point. I consider them private regardless of that.kingmohd84 wrote:As far as pictures being unsafe on Dropbox(or any cloud system) , I am not sure about why would any one worry about that even though I am a very paranoid guy. How could some one hurt you or bother you if he has your family pic in Disney land or in a BBQ party. Unless they were nudes or private /secrets I do not see why people get upset over this part.
Personally I do not take pictures in the first place.
I'm aware that I'm over-sensitive about my privacy compared to the average person. That is ok. There are also be people that are not bothered by having nudes of them available on the web etc., I'm just in the other tail of the bell curve I guess.
In any case, it wouldn't be hard to make stuff uploaded to the cloud as a backup safe. For one, cloud services are probably fairly safe at the outset, and one would just have to encrypt stuff locally before uploading (as I said above).
