The MSX is an OK system, but the scrolling functions quite often suck. I just don't find it all that usable for scrolling action or shooter games. My recommendation would be to stick with puzzle or RPG games that don't have to scroll a lot.

MSX is great for shooters. Haven't seen Zanac anywhere here, it was pretty good. Mostly go for Konami games on MSX, they're the best. Other games in my list: (mostly msx 1 games)
