And here are some more shots of Bumper Bash and Master Builder.

SteveyMajors: I have been neglecting my Dreamcast collection. When I was a kid I had a bunch of them but sold them all foolishly. Right now I just have Evolution, Sword of the Berserk, and Shenmue.

Wow, the Xevious ripoff cover for Front Line. Also, Ocean City Defender is a ripoff of some Sorayama artwork of a plesiosaur with a Toyota Hiace van on the back of it.

I couldn't find the Sorayama artwork online, I just have it in a book. Note much Sorayama artwork is NSFW if you go searching. :P

Hahaha I had no idea! Though it makes sense since they were ripping off existing games. Why not rip off existing art for the covers as well? WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

My favourite one is "Challenge". It has a picture of the Ghostbusters fighting a huge evil demon. The actual game is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njdvb6NBc2A.

The music will haunt me forever...

I love collecting "oddities", and I am quite jealous of your Zeller's games!

I also agree with you on Atari collecting. The prices on many NES and SNES games are too high for my tastes, but you can get very good prices on Atari 2600 games. I have really been having a lot of fun collecting 2600 carts for the past few months, and I think the collecting for that system is a great way to start a collection.

Also...and I may be mistaken...but Atari carts were significantly more expensive a few (i.e., 5-10) years ago. They seem to be incredibly inexpenisve at the moment, however, and I expect NES games (and later SNES games) to follow the same pattern. (That is...the truly rare titles will maintain their value to a certain extent, but the price of most games - espeically common games - will collapse.)

Regardless, you have a great collection, and I am happy that you posted it here.

I'm not so sure it will "collapse" but I do hope it reaches a plateau soon. It just so happens that anything "retro" is in style right now with the younger generation, and most of those kids seem to think of Nintendo when they think of old video games.

Also, there's the problem of people creating an "artificial demand" for these games (this is especially true in my city). It usually starts off with a pawn shop trying to sell a console at a very high price. Then Average Joe walks in and sees the price and remembers he has one of those in his garage. Thinking he's got something extremely valuable, he puts it up in the local classifieds for an equally outrageous price. Now, the smaller pawn shops see these ads and bring up their prices. The cycle continues until you can't buy an old yellowed SNES for under $150.00 in town!

That's the kind of thing that's going on in my town at the moment.

Anyway, that is why I'm focusing more on the older stuff from the late 70's and early 80's.

I think that there is some of that too. In my opinion at least, there is a bit of a speculative bubble surrounding NES and SNES items at the moment. Eventually, people will have to move on or have to liquidate their inventory and the prices will return to "pre-bubble" levels. (In any event, the term "collapse" in my previous post was probably a bit too strong...)

I really really hope so. The resellers in town are really getting crazy. Less than 2 years ago it was basically me and 1 other guy. Now everyone and their mother is doing it and the prices have gotten insane. I used to sell an NES system with brand new pins, 1 controller and a game for about 35-40 bucks. Now you are seeing dirty old consoles that hardly work being sold for $100.00. It's madness!

Anyway, I thought I would show you guys some of the "oddities" I have in my NES collection so far. Well, they aren't all that odd. Just some multicarts.
